Ingredients:
- Mutton - 1/4 kgs
- Basmathi Rice - 1 cup
- Cinnamon - 1
- Cloves - 4
- Cardamom - 2
- Malli Mokku - 1
- Biriyani Leaf - 1
- Onions - 2
- Tomatoes - 1
- Ginger Garlic Paste
- Green Chilly - 2
- Chilly Powder - 2 tbs
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tbs
- Mint Leaves - 1 cup
- Coriander Leaves - 1 cup
- Curd - 2 tbs
- Salt
- Ghee - 2 tbs
- Oil
- Water
Instructions:
- Soak basmathi rice in water for 20 mins.
- Heat a pressure cooker ,Add ghee , oil and add clove , cinnamon , cardamom , malli mokku and Biriyani leaf.
- Saute well and add onions and fry till it gets golden brown
- Add ginger garlic paste and tomatoes and cook till it turns mushy
- Add mint and chopped coriander leaves and saute well
- Add in curd , green chilly , salt , turmeric and chilly powder
- Add in mutton and cover and cook for 10 mins
- Add 3/4 cup of water and pressure cook or 4 whistles
- In a large bowl add 2 cups of water along with salt and 2 tbs of oil and allow it to boil
- Add soaked rice and cook it for 5 mins
- Strain and keep the rice
- Once the pressure is released , Keep an iron tawa on the stove and heat it and place the pressure cooker.
- Add the cooked rice to it and mix gently
- Cover the pressure cooker using plate and place boiling water on it for dum process
- Allow it to cook for 15 mins in a very low flame
- Serve....
