TIFFIN SAMBAR




Ingredients:
  • Oil - 2tbs
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4tbs
  • Channa Dal - 1/2 tbs
  • Toor Dal - 1 cup (Cooked)
  • Red Chilly - 1
  • Onion - 1
  • Tomato - 2
  • Green chilly -1
  • Chilly Powder - 1/2 tbs
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tbs
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tbs
  • Salt
  • Jaggery - a pinch 
  • Curry leaves 
  • Corriander Leaves
Instructions:

  1. In a kadai heat oil and add mustard seeds, channa dal, Red chilly, Curry leaves , Green Chilly, Asafoetida and saute well 

  2. Add in onions and cook till it becomes translucent and add tomato and saute well
  3. Add chilly powder, coriander powder, sambar powder and add 1 cup of water
  4. Allow it to boil for 5 mins and add cooked dal


  5. Cover and cook for 2 mins Finally add a pinch of jaggery
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
