TOMATO KURMA WITHOUT COCONUT




Ingredients:
  • Onion -1 
  • Tomato - 2 ( Grind it to a puree )
  • Green Chilly - 2
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbs
  • Clove - 2
  • Cinnamon -1 piece
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Chilly powder - 1/2 tbs
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbs
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tbs
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tbs 
  • Salt - 1/2 tbs
  • Fried gram (pottukadalai) - 3 tbs
  • Coriander leaf
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil - 2 tbs
Instructions:

  1. Step 1In a kadhai add oil , clove , cinnamon and bay leaf
  2. Add chopped onion and ginger garlic paste , green chilly and saute for a minute
  3. Then add tomato puree , salt , turmeric ,chilly and coriander powder and garam masala
  4. Cover and cook till tomato becomes mushy
  5. Add water and salt and allow it to boil for 5 mins
  6. In a mixee jar add fried granm and grind well to a sooth paste
  7. Add the paste and cook till its raw smell leaves
  8. Finally garnish with coriander leaves
