CHANNA MASALA




Ingredients:
  • Channa - 1 cup
  • Onion - 1
  • Tomato - 1
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbs
  • Chilly powder -1 tbs
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tbs
  • Garam masala- 1/4 tbs
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • Butter - 1 tbs 
  • Oil - 2 tbs

Instructions:

  1. Soak the channa overnight ( 8 hours ) and pressure cook upto 4 whistles till it is done
  2. In a kadai add oil , onion , tomato and sauté well
  3. Allow it to cool and grind it to a smooth paste
  4. In the same kadhai add butter , bay leaf , ginger garlic paste and add the ground paste
  5. Add in the spices ( Chilly powder , Turmeric powder , Garam masala , Salt ) and cook well by adding some water
  6. Add in the cooked channa and allow it to boil for 5 mins
  7. In a mixee add some cooked channa and grind to a smooth paste
  8. Add in the channa paste and cook for 3 mins
  9. Finally add chopped coriander leaves
  10. Serve
