MUTTON KHEEMA GRAVY



Ingredients:
  • Kheema / Kothu Mutton - 1/4 kg
  • Clove -3
  • Cardamom -2
  • Cinnamon -1
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Ginger / Garlic Paste - 2 tbs
  • Shallots - 15
  • Green Chilly - 2
  • Curry leaves
  • Tomato -1
  • Chilly Powder - 1/2 tbs
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tbs
  • Coconut
  • Poppy Seeds - 1/4 tbs
  • Cashewnuts -5
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
  • Instructions:
    1. Heat a pressure cooker add oil , cloves , cardamom , cinnamon and bay leaf
    2. Add ginger / garlic paste , chopped shallots , green chilly and saute well

    3. Add in chopped tomato , salt and the spice powders and allow to cook well

    4. Now add the kothu mutton and stir well

    5. Add some water and pressure cook for 4 whistles
    6. In a pan add oil , coconut and poppy seeds and cook till it becomes brown
    7. In a blender add coconut , poppy seeds and cashews and grind to a smooth paste

    8. Open the pressure cooker and add the ground paste and allow to boil for 3 mins
    9. Finally add chopped coriander leaves
    10. Serve
